TOKYO to Atami
From Tokyo to Atami, a coastal hot spring town at the entrance to the Izu Peninsula, about 2 hours on the toll roads.
Atami to Futo
From Atami to the destination Futo, Heading south on the national route 135 by the sea about 50 min. On the way, you will pass through Ito, the other key north Izu destination, another hot spring town which picturesque as it’s retained much of its traditional architecture.

By Tokaido Shinkansen
The JR Tokaido Shinkansen provides direct connections from Tokyo to Atami (45 min. 3740 yen one way by non-reserved seat) at the entrance to the Izu Peninsula.
By limited express train
Limited express trains, named Odoriko and Saphir Odoriko, connect Tokyo via Atami (80 min. around 3500 yen) or Ito in the middle of the Izu Peninsula (100 min. around 4000 yen).
By local trains
The JR Tokaido Line provides one way journey from Tokyo to Atami (110 min. 1980 yen).
Atami (or Ito) to Futo
At Atami (or Ito), transfer to the Izu Kyuko Line, the one way fee to the destination Futo is around 800yen, 40min.
